The client is a leading financial services provider specializing in a wide range of lending solutions focusing on offering accessible and flexible credit options, including personal loans, two-wheeler loans, and business financing, aimed at empowering individuals and businesses.
Needs
Client is set to launch an initiative of assigning Buddies to new joiner to enhance engagement, reduce attrition by 2%, and improve onboarding experiences. These Buddies need to be trained in predefined competencies to ensure newcomers feel welcomed, comfortable seeking guidance, and inspired to find solutions
Approach

We designed a 1-day training intervention for the client’s nominated buddies, starting with pre-study with FGDs and stakeholder interviews to contextualize the program.
The training focused on key competencies such as- Active listening
- Creating safe spaces
- Building trust and relationships
- Empathy,
and - Clarifying the role of a buddy.
Pre & Post Assessment were designed to ensure the needle movement.
Post-program touchpoints were incorporated to help participants reflect on their learnings, share experiences of applying them, address challenges, and troubleshoot effectively.Quick Stats:

Post Program Assessments findings state that
- Buddies excel in building genuine connections with new hires, fostering a sense of camaraderie and trust
- Buddies demonstrate the art of effective communication, guiding new employees in navigating professional conversations.
- Buddies showcase a problem-solving mindset, assisting new hires in navigating challenges and finding solutions.
- Additionally, they promoted diversity and inclusion by helping employees recognize and overcome biases, ensuring everyone felt valued
- Participants displayed higher percentage increase of 8% in Overcoming Bias post the program
