Coaching Excellence: Competency Bridge to ACC Credentialing

July 16, 2024
Client
The client is a prominent energy company specializing in refining, marketing, and retailing petroleum products. With a robust refining capacity and an extensive retail network, they are committed to delivering high-quality fuel and energy solutions across India.
Needs
The leaders (M2 level) at the organization have embarked on their Leadership Development Program (LDP), with coaching as a core leadership competency. To deepen this skill, the client sought to enable these leaders to become internal coaches, progressing toward ACC-level credentialing with the International Coaching Federation. They were looking for a tailored program to support this journey.
Approach
We designed a 35-hour Competency Bridge Program as an extension of the Excellence in Leadership Program (LDP), providing leaders with a pathway to ACC-Level 1 credentialing with the International Coaching Federation (ICF).
This integrated approach combines the LDP’s asynchronous learning with the 35-hour synchronous Competency Bridge Program, fulfilling ICF’s Level 1 certification requirements of 30 hours of live instruction and 60 hours of total training. Together, these programs equip leaders with the skills and credentials to excel as internal coaches.
Competency Bridge Program Overview
-
- Total Duration: 35 Hours
- Synchronous Learning: 32 Hours
- Self-Learning (via LMS): 3 Hours
- Mentoring: 10 Hours
- Peer Coaching: 6 Hours
- Performance Evaluation to assess coaching competencies
- Certification upon completion, paving the way for ACC-Level 1 credentialing
Impact
The session was well received, with the coachee demonstrating a high level of interest in applying the coaching skills they had acquired. This enthusiasm highlights the effectiveness of the program in equipping participants with valuable competencies that they are eager to implement in real-world scenarios.
